Relationship Wrap Up
(PowerPoint Sermon Slides)
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
- “Wow! That’s really cool and I’m genuinely excited for you.”
- “What can I do to help you?”
- Listening, asking questions, and relying on the Holy Spirit
John 15:4-6 (NIV)
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
STAYING PLUGGED IN
- The Holy Spirit in you keeps you connected.
- Your local church family keeps you connected.
- Our larger church family keeps us connected.
REPORT FROM ILC
- We belong to a precious family of churches from many nations and many parts of this nation.
- Change, re-structuring, and shifting is going on all over the world. Some things are good; some are bad, but expect things to be different and be prepared to adapt.
- The famine in Kenya (where many of the DCFI churches are) has been devastating, but our brothers and sisters there are standing strong. They are using micro-finance loans to rebuild businesses.
- The apostolic leaders of our family of churches are praying for us and encouraging us in the vision for our congregation.
WHAT THEN SHALL WE DO?
- Finish reading the “Relationship Principles of Jesus” Book.
- Go back and re-read parts that were especially meaningful to you.
- Invite someone to church for Easter Sunday.
