Reaching Young Adults in our Area Hi, My name is John Ramira and I am the director of Young Adult Ministries at Chantilly Bible Church. I am the newest member on staff (I started this January) and I wanted to share with you an upcoming learning opportunity that will be available to you this fall at CBC. On Saturday November 15 we are hosting a national simulcast of Lead Now 2008, a young adult leadership conference. You may be asking, “Why is this worth my time? Why should I go to this conference?” “Most Twentysomethings Put Christianity on the Shelf Following Spiritually Active Teen Years." This is the title of a recent article by the the Barna Group which states that “despite strong levels of spiritual activity during the teen years, most twentysomethings disengage from active participation in the Christian faith during their young adult years - and often beyond that.” The question we must ask is: How do we as a church respond to this? Lead Now 2008 brings insights from leaders from across t

mission work in India Dear Pastor Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are blessed to know about your church especially of the vision that the Lord has given you’ll to reach out to the lost and suffering. We thank God for the great works that you’ll are doing to bring glory and honor to our Savior Jesus Christ. Mission of Hope International also has a similar vision of reaching the lost and hurting in India by providing healthcare and education and using these as tools to give the gospel. These communities are extremely poor and lack school, healthcare, clean drinking water and electricity. The children face tough living conditions and suffer severe malnutrition, water borne illnesses, dehydration, worm infestation and neglect. Many of them die due to these extreme conditions. Through our schools we are reaching out to Hindu and Muslim children. We consider this a unique opportunity that God is giving us to sow the seeds of gospel in t
