Westgate Chapel, along with other DCFI churches, have a somewhat unique view of missions and church planting.  The churches in our family usually start off as a cell group and then become a church plant.  This happens all over the world.  We have seen cell based churches planted in many nations of the world.

Sometimes a church is planted by sending someone to another country to plant a church there.  Other times, churches are planted in countries outside the U.S. by the local believers there.  Most of our African churches are planted and pastored by Africans.  There are many DCFI churches in Kenya and Uganda.

Westgate Chapel is involved in supporting missions and church planting on several levels. 

We support the efforts of DOVE MISSIONS as they do missionary work and church planting in many different countries.

We support Ernie & Marilyn Gunders of Tehillah Ministries in Australia, who sail to the island nation of Bougainville annually on their sailboat, "Special Effects".

We support YWAM missionaries who are currently on home assignment.

We are also in the process of planting a church locally in the Largo, MD area.
